유화냄새 가득한 작업실에서 그림을 그리고 있던 작가 Roda를 만났다.
K팝 아이돌로서 무대에 서고, 방송 경연 프로그램에 최선을 다해 임하는 그 과정 속에서
자신의 중력을 세상 운동량의 방향과 속도에 맞춰야 하는 로다.
온몸으로 받아들이는 부담을 성장이라는 이름으로 완수해내고 있는 아티스트 로다의 탈출구는,
내면의 방향과 속도에만 온전히 자신의 과정을 맡길 수 있는 그림을 그리던 그 과정이었다.
그는 이 자유로운 탈출구를 블랙홀'이라 생각했다. 로다는 자신만 이런 블랙홀을 꿈꾸는 것은 아닐 것이라며,
<블랙홀展>에서 모두가 안고 있는 고민과 복잡한 마음들을 시공간이 멈춘
이번 전시를 통해 던져 버리기를 바란다고 말했다.
Roda is a multi-faceted artist, who is active as a composer and rapper.
But toady we meet him in his art studio, filled with the scent of oil paints.
WHILE performing as a k-pop idol on stage and RECENTLY giving his all on the competition show "peak time", roda found himself constantly adjusting his own center of gravity to sync with the momentum of the world around him.
Under the name of “growth” artist Roda was fulfilling the burden with his entire being. His sanctuary and his escape lay within his inner direction and the velocity of his own soul.
This liberating escape he referred to as ‘Black Hole’
Roda firmly believes that yearning for such a Black Hole is a sentiment not confined to himself alone. Through the exhibition “Black Hole” he hopes that everyone can let go of the burdens and intricate sensations they’ve been carrying around with them and free themselves of them, throwing them into a BLACK HOLE AND MAKE THEM Disappear in spacetime.
